Ife is a senior operations specialist at JP Morgan Chase & Co where he is charting a path in business operations intelligence. He also serves in the United States Military, and is pursuing a Master’s degree in business analytics at Franklin University’s Ross College of Business.
In 2018, he earned a master’s degree with a focus in African Studies at the Centre for International Studies, Ohio University. His writings have appeared in Africa@LSE Blog, YNaija, Africa Research Institute, and Applause Africa among others, and he has presented research at the Midwest Political Science Association and the African Studies program at Indiana University in Bloomington. Ife’s research interests cut across democratization, development, public policy, and conflict. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
Before graduate school at OHIO, Ife spent more than three years working across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors in Nigeria with cognate experience in education, elections, public policy research and advocacy, and media & communications. As a Communications Associate at Red Media Africa, one of Africa’s foremost media companies, he led public relations efforts for Facebook in Nigeria, organizing with his team the launch of Free Basics by Facebook. He also co-wrote a proposal that won a grant from the National Endowment for Democracy for YMonitor, an initiative of The Future Project which highlights crucial accountability and governance issues at the state and federal levels in Nigeria. In 2016, a year after he participated in a panel discussion on the challenges of graduate unemployment and employability in sub-Sharan Africa in British Council’s Going Global Conference in London, United Kingdom, he was shortlisted for the Qatar Foundation’s World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) Learners’ Voice Program.
Ife enjoys art and literature and occasionally produces work in this space. With an unrelenting passion for social impact, he has worked on nonprofit ideas, collaborated with a number of organizations, and continues to seek opportunities to address some of society’s pressing issues.
